Housing

Bishopsgate | Ipek Tureli worked for ArthurCollin Architect in London in 1998 and 1999 as the project leader on competition entries ranging in type from innovative  housing developments to public-use buildings. Many of these projects won awards. Arthur Collin’s Bishopsgate Housing Development proposal was shortlisted in the open competition organized by the Architecture Foundation for its “Living in the City” Exhibition at the Design Museum in London. The scheme combines low and high rise typologies to achieve a residential density of 500 persons per hectare. Arches in an existing viaduct below the housing contain public and commercial activities.
